Your privacy is important to K&K Swiss AG, Via Sant' Abbondio 59, CH-6577 Ranzo (hereinafter: "we" or "us"). The protection of the data which you provide us and its security and confidential handling are our highest principles. At this point, we would like to explain the scope and purposes of the collection and use of personal data in the framework of the use of our online offer and how we implement the protection of your data on our website.

1. Personal data

Personal data are individual pieces of information about personal or factual relationships of a specific or definable natural person. This includes information such as your correct name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth. According to the ruling by the European Court of Justice, it is assumed that the IP address also qualifies as personal data. This is a numeric series which is usually assigned to you automatically by your provider and changes regularly (dynamic). This IP address is necessary to make an Internet-capable device addressable and thus usable for the Internet.

Data are not personal if they cannot be used to identify a person. Thus, for example, the number of visitors to our website or similarly compiled information do not permit any determinations as to individual visitors.

With the exception of the following provisions, we will not provide your personal data to third parties, unless this is required for the fulfillment of a legal obligation which we have.

The scope and type of collection and use of your personal data differs, depending on whether you visit our Internet site only to obtain information or to make use of the services which we offer.

2. Collection of usage data

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits a variety of data which are necessary to make the visit to our website possible. These data include information about the operating system and browser you are using, the content you called up, the time you visited our website, the website you visited previously (so-called "referrer") and the volume of data transmitted to you. These data are stored by our web server in so-called log files. As a rule, personal identification is not possible with these data.

When visiting our website, your IP address is also transmitted to us, which can allow the determination of your identity.

These transmitted data are also stored in the log file and processed for error analysis and statistical purposes. Personal user profiles are not compiled. The above-mentioned data are evaluated only for statistical purposes for the optimization of our online shop.

3. Registration of a customer account, order handling

When you register with K&K Swiss AG, the following personal data are collected:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • E-mail address
  • Password

We use (i.e. collect, process and use or transmit) the personal data you provide as part of registration to set up a customer account. The personal data are stored only for the period in which you are registered with us.

In order for your order to be handled, it is also necessary for you to provide the following data:

 Company (opt)

  • Billing and delivery address (street, house number, address addition (opt), postal code, city)
  • Country
  • Phone

These data are required for handling the bill of sale concluded between you and the vendor on our platform.

We pass your order data on to the vendor with whom you conclude a bill of sale on our platform. For their part, they will pass on your data to external service providers (e.g. logistics companies, shippers) for handling the contractual relationship. Your data will be transmitted only for the above-mentioned purpose and will not be processed outside of the European Union.

If you have created a customer account, your data are available for future purchases in our online shop. The stored data will be retrieved as a matter of course for every ordering process.

You can object to the further use of your customer data at any time by e-mail, in writing or by telephone. You can find our contact data and further information on your right of objection below in section 12.

In the event of your objection, your customer account will be deleted, provided the data are not still absolutely required for the handling of orders which have been assigned.

4. Ordering as a guest

If you place an order as a guest, that is without using a user account and/or without previous registration, you must provide the following data:

First name

  • Last name
  • Company (opt)
  • Billing and delivery address (street, house number, address addition (opt), postal code, city)
  • Country
  • E-mail address
  • Phone

We and/or the vendors require your first and last name for the handling of your order. We use the e-mail address to send you an order confirmation, and it allows us to contact you if there are questions about your order.

You can also voluntarily provide us with the name of the ordering company – if applicable – and a telephone number. The company can serve as an additional address or for billing, while providing a telephone number simplifies possible contact in the event of questions about your order.

We will forward the stated information to the vendor of the product you have selected for the handling of your order.

5. Payment handling

We do not collect and process your bank and payment data. Payment is handled exclusively by the respective vendor or a service provider assigned by them, such as PayPal.

6. Newsletter

Beyond the registration of a customer account and the handling of your orders, we would like to occasionally send you interesting news and notes about our company and the goods and services we offer by e-mail based on your data – of course, only if you explicitly agree in a separate location.

In order for you to be able to register for our newsletter, along with your agreement in accordance with data protection law, we need your e-mail address to which the newsletter should be sent.

For sending the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in process, that is, we will only send you the newsletter if you have confirmed your registration via the link included in a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose. With this, we would like to guarantee that only you are able to register for the newsletter as the owner of the provided e-mail address. Your confirmation in this regard must take place within 48 hours after the receipt of the confirmation e-mail, otherwise your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from our database.

You can provide your consent to receive the newsletter separately when registering for our newsletter. You can retract your consent at any time effective in the future, thus canceling the newsletter. To do so, either send us an informal e-mail to the e-mail address given below or cancel using the "Unregister" link at the end of the newsletter. You can find our contact data and further information on your right of cancellation below in section 9.

They allow us to store information which is specific to you, the user, in connection with the use of our website. These cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website and to design our offers as conveniently and efficiently as possible for you.

So-called "session cookies" are deleted immediately upon closing the browser, while so-called "permanent or persistent cookies" remain stored on your computer after the conclusion of your visit to our website and are not automatically deleted by closing the browser. Only in exceptional cases on which we have no influence will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website in order to compile reports on website activities and to provide further services associated with website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted from your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined by Google with other data.
