The Puller Guide

Internal extraction

Internal pullers are used to extract internal ball bearings, external ball bearing races and bushings. The bearings are securely grasped in the inner race by the internal extractor and quickly removed by being tightly clamped. To remove bearings with an internal puller, a series 22 counterstay or slide hammer is required.

The internal pullers from KUKKO can be combined with counterstays as well as with slide hammers. The counter supports and slide hammers come with corresponding thread adapters included.

Accessories: Extensions

KUKKO series 21 pullers (with the exception of series 21-E) can be extended with series 21-V extensions to remove parts located deep within the socket.

Accessories: Thread adapters

KUKKO slide hammers can be used in conjunction with 22-1-AS thread adapters wherever threaded pins can be screwed directly into the part which needs to be removed.

Notes on internal extraction

When using a counterstay, make sure that the arms of the counterstay are not blocking the part you are removing.

The internal puller must always grab underneath the part being removed.

Internal pullers with segment clamping can be used to remove components which are lying flat.
